All mill production goes directly into stock after quality control testing, and is available for immediate shipment. Saba Steel Zagros's rebar manufacturing operations is what is commonly referred to as a stocking mill. Also available are high strength, and 'no grade' reinforcing bars. Using frequent rolling cycles, the mill rolls metric sizes 8 through 32 mm bars in various grades and in strict accordance to International standards such as GOST 5781, ASTM A615, BS 4449, DIN 488 as well as regional standards such as ISRI 3132. The billets stored in our yard, are then reheated in natural gas furnaces into a plastic-like state and then hot-rolled through the rolling mill to form them into the standard shapes and produce reinforcement bars. This line allows for synchronized operation of the rolling mill and related equipment. Our state-of-the-art hot strip rolling mill includes production line and equipment built by leading European manufacturers such as Ross, Bosch Rexroth and Siemens, supplied and installed by CVS of Turkey. Our steel manufacturing process begins at our 3,000 m2 storage and handling yard where high quality steel billets are brought in and stored for feeding into the rolling mill. We intend to be a major player in this market for high-value and value-added reinforcement steel. We concentrate on reinforcing bars as they have strong growth potential.
